In all cases, we retain the ownership of the reproduction and usage rights to the composition and sound recording of any sonic motif or character voice recordings, but license the use of the recordings to you, exclusively, for a period of one year, renewable annually.
You get mono or stereo WAV format files (other formats are available at additional re-processing cost of £10 per conversion), depending on your requirement.
We can also produce sonic motifs in common surround sound formats, for cinematic use (additional charges may apply).
By default, our recordings are 16 bit, 44.1 kHz sample rate, but other specialised formats can be requested at project commencement (prior to recording).
Sonic Motifs
Our minimum charge for production of a sonic motif is £350, for up to one minute of finished (i.e. composed, recorded, post-produced, mixed and mastered) sound, in duration.
Additional finished minutes of music are charged at a rate of £350 per additional minute.
Derivatives from a master mix are charged at a discounted rate, of £35 per finished minute, in recognition of the reduced complexity of producing thematically linked derivatives.
Licensing fees for the finished recording are negotiated on the basis of proposed usage, number of anticipated reruns or reuse and the audience reach for each distribution channel.
Character Voices
Character voice production is charged at a rate of £250 for an up to 250 word script. £250 is our minimum charge, to reflect project set up time. Additional charges apply for longer scripts. Each additional 100 words is £50 per 100 words.
You may provide your own script, or even your own voice acting performance recordings, if technical quality is adequate. We can post-produce high quality recordings to bring your character’s voice to life. Post production is charged at £350 per 8 hours of studio time. Minimum charge is £175 for a 4 hour session.
Licensing fees for the finished recording are negotiated on the basis of proposed usage, number of anticipated reruns or reuse and the audience reach for each distribution channel.
